Eligibility and Prerequisites

Marine Science is a highly competitive field, as is the acceptance into the MLML graduate program.  Students accepted into the MLML graduate program should have a well-rounded background in science, mathematics, and research. MLML has no GPA or GRE mimimums, but admitted students generally have a GPA of 3.2 or greater and GRE scores in the upper 30th percentile.  Undergraduate marine science or biology degrees are preferred but not required. Applicants should email their potential MLML faculty advisors to discuss whether additional courses or prerequisites are required for admittance.  Newly admitted students must meet the entrance requirements of the CSU consortium campus and MLML. All graduate students enter the program as Conditionally Classified students and must satisfactorily complete MLML and CSU admission requirements to become Classified students.
